Our story

Welcome to Fortress Toys! We're an online and brick-and-mortar toy store founded by Blake Baker, a passionate collector who turned his love for toys into a thriving business. The journey began back in 2018 with a corporate layoff. After talking to a few close friends about when he was the happiest, he used his severance, rented a storage unit, moved in his toy collection, and opened for business.

Overcoming the odds, Fortress Toys weathered the early challenges of a small business and the global COVID-19 pandemic. From operating by appointment only in a bank suite, to finding our voice through online selling on platforms like Facebook Live, PopShop Live, and NTWRK, we've come a long way.

In March 2021, we moved to the Preston Building in Mount Pleasant, Texas, and continued our online sales. As of January 2023, we've expanded to a much larger space in Tyler, Texas, where we're still kickin' it, streaming, and selling toys online, just like always.

But we're not just about selling toys! We're committed to giving back to the community and making a difference in the lives of children and young adults. We proudly support local, nationwide, and worldwide charities focused on education, equality, mental health, and overall well-being.
